A Series of Hoaxes, and a Dangerous Trend

Lost Tomb of Jesus?

A truth said once is quick forgotten,
but a lie repeated one hundred times
becomes public opinion. (R. Hearst)

The power of mass media to distort reality, to falsify history, to deprive you of your identity, has never been more frightening. The possibility of turning millions of normal healthy youngsters into homosexuals; of corrupting children through pornography and drugs; of destroying women's morals and sensibility by the promotion of abortion; the thorough alchemy for transmogrifying felonies into rights and getting all nations to accept this can't be doubted since the end of the twentieth century. Thus, a new form of poverty has set in. The poverty of the voided-man living under system-puppeteers is the actual reality of mindless America.

More than thinking, America publishes; and publishing has substituted thinking. Publishing through the Internet, through the movies, through computer games, through radio broadcasts, through the printing press... Lies repeated, not one hundred, but a million times through the most diverse media are parroted later by all. The latest hoax against Christianity is a case in point: Americans Divided on Claims Made in "Lost Tomb of Jesus" Documentary Nearly Half Believe Tombs are Jesus' Family after Viewing Documentary, reports www.mediacurves.com on March 5, 2007.

To understand the enormity of this fact, suffice it to say that the most extraordinary civilization of all time, the Christian Civilization which developed close to 100% of all human masterpieces in art, philosophy, science, and technology was founded, livened and enriched on the belief of the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ! So, without this belief, the belief that would set in would be that close to 100% of our forefathers were morons! And the real morons, of course, would be the believers in 'morons' of such extraordinary genius!

More congruent, the Jerusalem Post at http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid reported: " But Bar-Ilan University Prof. Amos Kloner, the Jerusalem District archaeologist who officially oversaw the work at the tomb in 1980 and has published detailed findings on its contents, on Saturday night dismissed the claims. "It makes a great story for a TV film," he told The Jerusalem Post. "But it's impossible. It's nonsense." "... the names found on the ossuaries were common, and the fact that such apparently resonant names had been found together was of no significance. He added that "Jesus son of Joseph" inscriptions had been found on several other ossuaries over the years. "There is no likelihood that Jesus and his relatives had a family tomb," Kloner said. "They were a Galilee family with no ties in Jerusalem. The Talpiot tomb belonged to a middle-class family from the 1st century CE. Kloner said the IAA (Israel Antiquities Authority that lent out two of the ossuaries that were found in the Talpiot tomb for display by the filmmakers at Monday's New York press conference) had been "very foolish" to agree to the loan. "The left hand there doesn't know what the right hand is doing," he said...

From a strictly Jewish standpoint who's right, Kloner in criticizing the loan, or the IAA in lending the ossuaries? The Jerusalem District archaeologist would have beenwere there the slightest possibility of truth in the James Cameron and Simcha Jacobovici's "The Lost Tomb of Jesus" Documentary the one to win fame and honors, for after all, the official work and first publishing had been his. But, with his own best interests at heart he knew well how his name and his country's could be stained by a fraud! And to bring it out as a novelty 27 years latter!!! From a top Israeli government standpoint it's awkward statesmanship to the point that "The left hand there had better not known what the right hand was doing.

The Fraudulent Onslaughts against Christianity
Criminal serialization has always been pathological, and is always alarming. There are serial felons (murderers, rapists) as there are calumniators, compulsive liars, calumny mongers.

In the case we are analyzing of felonious conduct against Christianity, as openly blasphemous we have: Jean-Luc Goddard's Hail Mary (1985); Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ (1988);Terrence McNally's Corpus Christi (1998); Paul Rudnick's The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told (1998); Kevin Smith's Dogma (1999); Alma Lopez's Our Lady (2000); Faith Soloway's Jesus Has Two Mommies (2001); Carlos Carrera's The Crime of Father Amaro (2002);Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code; National Geographic's "The Gospel of Judas."

Attacks on world history and culture:
James Cameron and Simcha Jacobovici's "The Lost Tomb of Jesus" Documentary (2007); and now coming "The Dark Ages". Plus: calumnious presentations of the Catholic Inquisition, the Crusades, etc.

Devastating Christian morals:
Dailies like The Washington Post have carried news demanding paedophilia bans be lifted as in the case of abortion, calling for this, their final victory against sex's last impediment, the last frontier.

One official explanation:
Can be found in the JAHG-USA Web Site offering "Campaign to abolish X-mas continues, SPECIAL SALE!!! - FLYERS NOW AVAILABLE AT REDUCED PRICE: $0.15 per flyer. The web address is www.noahide.com . The main heading is: More reasons the Torah obligates all Jews in this campaign. The explanation they give is that according to famous rabbis Christianity is plain idolatry, `worse than shittuf.

Knowing what's intended, we've listed the above brutalities in chronological order looking for an additional explanation as to the timing. What exploded in the early eighties to loosen this merciless campaign against Christianity's unsuspecting 1.9 billion world wide? And the answer is easy to find. It was in the news for a long time.

From a big surprise to a scare, and to a greater scare...and outright panic! Press conference at the British Museum, on Friday the 14th October 1988. In the centre is Dr. Michael Tite of the British Museum; to his right, Professor Edward Hall, director of the Oxford dating laboratory; on his left, the physicist Robert Hedges. On the blackboard the silliest numbers ever. The Holly Shroud of Turin's supposed carbon dating. Suffice it to say that if the pretended Medieval Knight portrayed in the shroud, or anyone of His entourage had had at the time the technology to produce that image, He would have conquered the world with His technology! The panic came when this was pointed out to them! When will the rabbis admit their tremendous mistake and recognize the full divinity of Jesus Christ? Their motive for lying is too obvious! Where would this leave them before their own whom they've mislead for 2000 years?

Somehow they didn't know...Or couldn't find a way to stop them. After all, curiosity is the prime mover of science, and even then, in 1898 it made the news and set fire to the debates in the French Congress. Socondo Pia, a well known lawyer in Turin, Italy, was to become world famous as a photographer and entered history for having taken the first photograph of the Holy Shroud. And Mr. Pia became `secondo' to none in receiving the first surprise the Shroud reserved for modern man. He's reported to have gone like mad in the night, and reportedly also in pijamas, crying out in the streets of Turin "I have seen the face of God!" In his own words: If the Image appeared as a perfect positive on a negative plate, the Shroud had to be a `perfect negative'!

It was this mystery derived from a simple fact as registered in a simple photograph that gave way to the foundation of STURP, the Shroud of Turin Research Project. First rate world class scientists and obviously including photographers to the Vatican, to request permission to bring their equip-ment into Italy, in order to analyse the Holy Shroud with the best technology available. They got permission from the Vatican and from the owners of the Holy Shroud, the House of Savoy which had ruled Italy. They were granted five days. They weren't Catholics, possibly one ot two Chris-tians in the lot. Their main worry was: Who will be the one to notify Cardinal Ballestrero officially there is no miracle involved? Their astonishment at their findings can be read between lines from their official report. A lengthier report as a book was published by one of the STURP members, Kenneth E. Stevenson together with Gary R. Habermas, as "Verdict on the Shroud" in 1981.

The Final STURP Official Report of 1981:
No pigments, paints, dyes or stains have been found on the fibrils. X-ray, fluorescence and microchemistry on the fibrils preclude the possibility of paint being used as a method for creating the image. Ultra Violet and infrared evaluation confirm these studies. Computer image enhancement and analysis by a device known as a VP-8 image analyzer show that the image has unique, three-dimensional information encoded in it. Microchemical evaluation has indicated no evidence of any spices, oils, or any biochemicals known to be produced by the body in life or in death. It is clear that there has been a direct contact of the Shroud with a body, which explains certain features such as scourge marks, as well as the blood. However, while this type of contact might explain some of the features of the torso, it is totally incapable of explaining the image of the face with the high resolution that has been amply demonstrated by photography. The basic problem from a scientific point of view is that some explanations which might be tenable from a chemical point of view, are precluded by physics. Contrariwise, certain physical explanations which may be attractive are completely precluded by the chemistry. For an adequate explanation for the image of the Shroud, one must have an explanation which is scientifically sound, from a physical, chemical, biological and medical viewpoint. At the present, this type of solution does not appear to be obtainable by the best efforts of the members of the Shroud Team. Furthermore, experiments in physics and chemistry with old linen have failed to reproduce adequately the phenomenon presented by the Shroud of Turin. The scientific consensus is that the image was produced by something which resulted in oxidation, dehydration and conjugation of the polysaccharide structure of the microfibrils of the linen itself. Such changes can be duplicated in the laboratory by certain chemical and physical processes. A similar type of change in linen can be obtained by sulfuric acid or heat. However, there are no chemical or physical methods known which can account for the totality of the image, nor can any combination of physical, chemical, biological or medical circumstances explain the image adequately.

Thus, the answer to the question of how the image was produced or what produced the image remains, now, as it has in the past, a mystery.

We can conclude for now that the Shroud image is that of a real human form of a scourged, crucified man. It is not the product of an artist. The blood stains are composed of hemoglobin and also give a positive test for serum albumin. The image is an ongoing mystery and until further chemical studies are made, perhaps by this group of scientists, or perhaps by some scientists in the future, the problem remains unsolved.

You bet they were scared with the results! And considering what is at stake, there will be hoaxes galore against the simple faith of Christians!

I have been in direct contact with the issues involved. I presented a book on TV on the 8th of December 1999 on a similar subject: Our Lady of Guadalupe of Mexico. I was interviewed on Channel 40 in Mexico City by a Jewish woman who felt very uncomfortable with my assurance. Do you realize there are only three monotheistic religions? I asked her. What then if God gave evidence in favour of only one of them as is the case with the Holy Shroud of Turin and Our Lady of Guadalupe (Information available at my web site which has also a link to the way fraud was detected with Carbon 14 testing by a French group)? It puts Rabbis out of business! I concluded.

Does this evidence solve the case, not only for a supposed Family Tomb of Jesus, but for all remaining attempts to confuse the basic issues of Christianity?

Draw your conclusions!
